Magnesium Oil

Did you know that 99% of us are deficient in the worlds most important mineral? Magnesium is a master mineral. It is responsible for over 350 life providing reactions in the body.

This may just be the simplest, most elegant solution to our most common issues… low energy, broken focus, reduced memory comprehension, sleep problems, high blood pressure, anxiety, migraines, joint pain, cravings, and More. If we can absorb more magnesium than we  can help the body functions like our immune response, metabolizing fats, carbs, amino acids, nervous & muscular support, proper cardiac & brain function, blood sugar, blood pressure, energy & protein synthesis, the formation of strong bones & teeth… cellular health….And the list go’s on and on… and on.

We know that the skin is the biggest organ and a great and safe way to absorb this important mineral. I wanted to share this recipe for making Magnesium Oil. This recipe can also serves as a deodorant, when sprayed under your arm pits, rub,  and let dry for 5 seconds.  After I make this oil recipe, I just add my favorite essential oil. I like lavender and frankincense for my personal deodorant. You can also make some great body butter recipes with this oil or just use it all my itself to help you relax and sleep better.

Magnesium oil:

ingredients

  • 1 cup Magnesium Chloride Flakes (This is the ones I use)
  • 1 cup distilled water
  • A glass bowl or glass measuring cup
  • A glass spray bottle (plastic will work too)

    instructions

    1. Boil the distilled water. It is important to use distilled to extend the shelf life of the mixture. Put the Magnesium Chloride

  1. Flakes in the glass bowl or measuring cup and the pour the boiling water over it.
  2. Stir well until completely dissolved. Let cool completely and store in the spray bottle. Can be stored at room temperature for at least six months. I keep in my bathroom to use daily.

how to use magnesium oil

Spray on arms, legs, and stomach daily. I use 10-20 sprays per day. It will tingle on the skin the first few times it is used, and this is normal. It should fade after a few applications, but you can dilute with more water if it bothers you too much.
You can leave on the skin or wash off after 20-30 minutes. I usually apply after a shower and then use coconut oil or a lotion bar to moisturize about 5 minutes later.

Even more reasons why you should go off gluten

More than 55 diseases have been linked to gluten, the protein found in wheat, rye, and barley. It’s estimated that 99% of the people who have either gluten intolerance or celiac disease are never diagnosed.

It is also estimated that as much as 15% of the US population is gluten intolerant. Could you be one of them?

If you have any of the following symptoms it could be a sign that you have gluten intolerance:
Digestive issues such as gas, bloating, diarrhea and even constipation. I see the constipation particularly in children after eating gluten.

Keratosis Pilaris, (also known as ‘chicken skin’ on the back of your arms). This tends be as a result of a fatty acid deficiency and vitamin A deficiency secondary to fat-malabsorption caused by gluten damaging the gut.

Fatigue, brain fog or feeling tired after eating a meal that contains gluten.

Diagnosis of an autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Ulcerative colitis, Lupus, Psoriasis, Scleroderma or Multiple sclerosis.

Neurologic symptoms such as dizziness or feeling of being off balance.

Hormone imbalances such as PMS, PCOS or unexplained infertility.

Migraine headaches.

Diagnosis of chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia. These diagnoses simply indicate your conventional doctor cannot pin point the cause of your fatigue or pain.

Inflammation, swelling or pain in your joints such as fingers, knees or hips.

Mood issues such as anxiety, depression, mood swings and ADD.

How to test for gluten intolerance?
I have found the single best ways to determine if you have an issue with gluten is to do an elimination diet and take it out of your diet for at least 2 to 3 weeks and then reintroduce it. Please note that gluten is a very large protein and it can take months and even years to clear from your system so the longer you can eliminate it from your diet before reintroducing it, the better.

The best advice that I share is that if they feel significantly better off of gluten or feel worse when they reintroduce it, then gluten is likely a problem for them. In order to get accurate results from this testing method you must elimination 100% of the gluten from your diet.

How to treat gluten intolerance?
Eliminating gluten 100% from your diet means 100%. Even trace amounts of gluten from cross contamination or medications or supplements can be enough to cause an immune reaction in your body.

The 80/20 rule or “we don’t eat it in our house, just when we eat out” is a complete misconception. An article published in 2001 states that for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity eating gluten just once a month increased the relative risk of death by 600%. That’s crazy right?

Why does it seem so hard for everyone? They don’t even want to think about not having bread so they close their minds and ears when they hear these statistics. I have family members that have many of these signs, but won’t even think about not having gluten in their daily diets. I just want you to know, that you can do it. It seems overwhelming, but once you commit, there are so many possibilities and recipes to replace your favorite gluten containing foods, with better whole food ingredients that will truly heal the body instead of cause inflammation and disease.

I just heard today a podcast that said that anyone with leaky gut issues, which is 95% of america should not have wheat in any form, even ancient wheat. It is just way to hard to digest and not meant for our guts. Most grains in general are hard to digest, especially if not prepared properly. Try to open your mind to the possibility that you may feel better than you realized you could just by going off gluten.
